Both are non-profit places by and for international fans of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Back in June 2004, #esc became independent from #eurosong, a similar room which was originally founded in the late 1990s. A large part of the community has stayed the same over the years, meaning that we can look back at a far longer history than the official one of #esc.

Many members of the #esc community are also on the Message Board (MB) of escnation.com, our partner site. “#esc / esc-chat.com” and “escnation.com” are not under the same roof, but are happy to be close neighbours and friends.
