Day 3 – A night at the opera
The day began quite late after the russian party so I arrived at the press centre just in time for the most important entry of the year: The Netherlands.
Sieneke suffered a bit of a flu in the past weeks but she’s recovering and was vocally totally fine. She’s in tune, the song gets a lot of attraction and half of Oslo is singing Shalalie (the other half doesn’t like it).
The surprise of the day was Sieneke beginning her press conference outside. Afterwards the press conference moved into the press centre including a bizarre but very amazing walk in of the “dolls”:
Sieneke’s english is much better than it’s said to be!
Over to the arena for the first spanish rehearsal, which left us with goosebumps and admittedly a bit pee in the eyes:
Most of the time I’m staying at the Euroclub, or in the press centre, and sometimes in the infamous – especially for us journalists established “Press-Button-Completely Inn”…
Back to spanish press conference…
and in the meantime, Germany’s star for Oslo arrived – the Lena fever has come to Oslo finally!
After the german pres conference it was time for the highlight of the day – the georgian party at the National Opera of Oslo, an outstanding landmark.
Free alcoholic drinks and georgian delicatessen and Sofia’s stunning performance of Shine made this evening unforgatteble.
And finally a picture with Maia Baratashvili, the dancing georgian head of delegation!
Thanks to Georgia for an amazing evening that I’ll not forget any time soon!
